System distance discrepancy

There is some sort of discrepancy between the distance to a system displayed on the galaxy map and the same system displayed on the Navigation tab of the left panel.I have been unable to upload pictures due to file size.
On the Galaxy Map, Ploi Euhn BC-D D12-0 is 67.01 LY's away, but on the Navigation panel it is showing up as 63.8 Ly's away. The game is denying my the chance to enter Frame Shift in my 66.53 Ly Anaconda to the next system. Is this a bug, or is it supposed to be an in-game discrepancy in the Nav/Sensor system, due to the location and my ship having not been out this far before?
I would be interested to know if any other Deep Space commanders have experienced this before.

Which system are you in, is the quoted jump range for the ship fully laden or empty, and do you have enough fuel for the jump?

Did you supercruise for some time to reduce the apparent jump distance?

Ploi Euhn BC-D D12-0 in the Errant Marshes Sector and i have more than enough fuel to make the jump, currently 66.63 laden.
Super cruise is bringing the distance down slowly...or rather my currently jump range is slowly increasing due to my fuel usage

From the original post, it looks like the jump is beyond the maximum range (without synthesis) of the ship, i.e. 67.01LY vs 66.53LY, regardless of what the navigation panel currently states.

The game doesn't factor in your current location in space when calculating jump distance, but distance between main star of your current system and main star of the target system. Regardless of if you cruise 1-2 LY in advance, it will not lower distance jumped.

Unfortunately, the fuel usage will be star -> star, which is the number that the galmap shows. So it doesn't matter if you SC closer to your destination, which is the number displayed in the nav panel. It is a shame that it works this way, because it doesn't make sense...

Sounds like an error on your nav panel. Just plot a fresh route on the gal map and you should be able to do it in 2 jumps if there is enough stars in between.
The problem i have Deano, is that there are so few systems out here that i am having to manually plot route as my Nav. computer can't do it. There are no other systems in my line of travel, only wayward, tptally out of the way systems. I'll just supercruise until my mass is down to the appropriate level to jump. Cheers for the info.

Danieros, still reckon this is some sort of bug though

If you see in your navigation panel that the distance for jumping is feasible, you can initiate the jump from the navigation panel:

1. Select destination system (not plot route);
2. Open navigation panel;
3. Select destination system and press "jump to selected system";
