Newcomer / Intro System Map controls

Hi all

I might be missing something, but where do I change the control settings for the System Map?

I can’t find this anywhere...

I don't believe you can. I believe the galmap settings carry over to the system map. So if a setting affects the galmap, it will affect system map too.

What controls do you mean? Are you on a PC or console?

I’m on PC. VR and HOTAS
I mean navigating the System Map.
Currently it’s bound to my Up/Down and Left/Right thrusters on the throttle, but it’s just so slow. Takes ages to move across the screen to a planet, moon or station.
I would very much like to change the settings.
I will change the Galaxy Map controls tomorrow and see if this does indeed change the System Map controls as well, as @CptArcher suggests...

Controls in VR is less than optimal no matter how you set them up, I'm afraid.
Personally I gave up on VR when I'm exploring (which is most of the time) and only use it occasionally, mostly in the bubble or sometimes on planets if I plan on spending more time on one.

As far as System map goes - I usually just use the good ol' NECK 1.0 to pan left and right and I kind of mastered pointing at stuff with my mouse.

I think mine were set by default and I've never tried to alter them. However I find the mouse is the only useful device, just click and drag to move around and click to select.

You need to zoom out so it makes it faster to scroll l/r - up/down
There is a bind for zoom in/out - I'd have to get back in the game to find it for you.

As CptArcher above said - it's bound to galmap settings .
Go to Galaxy Cam Zoom Axis.
I have my zoom set on the joy x-axis.
