On youtube on the Elite: Dangerous Pilot Tutorials - Galaxy And System Map vid at 4mins 50s (not allowed to link it) he talks about "without any of the planetary bodies selected the left hand panel displays the security level" (paraprashed).
But I can't see this Security level on all systems, only some. I can click on the sun, planets, stations etc, but if I click on empty space nothing happens. The above vid is from the developer I believe. So why can't I see this info in all sytems please

Also how can you tell how far away a planet is from the sun in Ls. Is it the Orbital Period. If so how do I convert that to Ls please. I think I saw a table on Reddit but didn't bookmark it.
