Hey fellas, while I've been registered and around for a long time, I haven't been as avid as you guys in keeping up to date with all the plans for the game (life eh... :/).
Just wondering if Frontier was planning on implementing system maps, ala Frontier and F:FE? That is the 2d picture view and the 3d map which allowed us to rotate and view the locations of all the celestial bodies during our time traveling.
Has anyone seen/heard them mention that as a plan?
I certainly hope so, at the moment the systems feel very... 1 dimensional. Now, that sounds odd yes, obviously you can fly up, down, left and right. But honestly I struggle to put everything into perspective when flying between binary or trinary stars in a single sytsem. Even when flying between planets I struggle to visualise the bigger picture of the system. As a result it sort of feels as if I have blinders on while flying at the moment. As if, without that additional imformation the system doesn't seem as real in my mind.
I may be alone, but I doubt it
