Newcomer / Intro System not showing up properly on the galaxy map?

Hello, I've been playing Elite Dangerous for a couple days now. After spending quite a while finding a good trade route, I've found one where one point is at Kekule Orbital in Ye'Kuapemas. However, my galaxy map does not display anything for Ye'Kuapemas. There is just a blank spot and when I manually search, it finds it, but there is nothing shown and I can not click on anything.

Is there something else I need to know before it shows up? I've traveled to and from the system countless times.

I'd include a link to a screenshot, but I'm not allowed :(.

Have you changed what you view (3rd tab in the galaxy map) at some point. If you have deselected a type of system it shows as a blank space. Go into the view and check the different filters.

I have this problem also.

I can sometimes see the system I want to travel to when zooming quite far out but disappears when I zoom in.

I checked all the settings in the view tab and all are set to 'none' in the filters - which I assume means default to 'all'.

Just can't see anything else I could change to make it work properly.

It's really annoying as I keep having to get off the couch to type in the system every time (not that I'm lazy of course!).

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I think I know what you mean and its a little different from the OPs problem. As far as I can tell that happens because you are looking at the wrong "level" of space. Its kind of difficult to explain but its connected to the 3D nature of the map. As well as zooming in and out I need to move up and down (F and R on my keyboard). Due to the sheer scale of the map it can be really difficult or impossible to find the star you want without typing it in.
