Hi all,
I don't know if this should be in the Horizons only section or here as it's a general question about system requirements too. I've an oldish laptop which has been great for running ED at high graphics levels so far and, with each update, ED seems to run smoother than ever. With Horizons though, I need to put the setting for planets down to low to get a reasonable frame rate.
I just about match the minimum system requirements for Horizons which FD have stated on their website. What I'm wondering is, are these just minimum system requirements for just landing on airless rocky or ice moons only or will the system requirements be the same once we're able to land on planets with atmospheres? I'm concerned that now I've bought Horizons and even though I match the stated minimum system requirements that landing on Earth-like worlds will cripple my computer and it'll be unplayable due to water effects, greenery etc. Will each new update have its own system requirements?
If this is the case, has anyone played ED on an Xbox? I'm wondering if this might end up being a cheaper investment than a whole new PC if all the future releases can run on it?
What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance.
