Newcomer / Intro System Scanning question

So i've scanned quite a number of systems already, but recently noticed the following that happens. Might be somethimg that i've always missed. I just visited some systems in the Bubble, that i never visited before, and some of them needed FSS scans, while others were completely discovered for me. I ruled out the fact that maybe i visited them before at some point by checking again and making sure that the one system i'm going now for example was never visited by me - and then it still had all the bodies discovered for me (on Sys map - all bodies have descriptions and everything), while another one, which i never visited again, had all the bodies listed as unexplored and needed FSS scans. Auto scan of close bodies excluded as well - they all were with far enough planets. And ofc no chance that those systems were never visited by anybody - it's less that 100 ly from Shinrarta. Am i missing someething here, maybe someone has an answer?

And now after writing all this i remembered that i saw somewhere that most populated systems in the Bubble are discovered by default for everyrone, must be that then? Still then, not really much discovered by default if i see those unexplored too?

Ok, i guess i was never thinking about it then. After some mins of clicking the systems in the Bubble that i've never been to, Gal map does not let me to go Sys map, so i guess no way to know in advance what is "commonly" discovered. Thanks for the answer!

In ye olden dayes many of the populated systems were pre-known to one's nav computer. Then when FD introduced the FSS system for some reason EVERY system became "unknown" on your galaxy map (even though you might have been there a gazillion times since 2015) until you actually arrived in-system when magically all the system info was revealed to your nav computer and system map. These systems are those with a population over a certain size, I can't remember what that size threshold is, sorry.

Other systems that have been explored and that data sold by anyone (so including all of the bubble) are revealed to you on arrival as populated by "unexplored" bodies - these you can make money from by FSSing and mapping.

When you travel into the black you will come across systems that appear totally empty to you (apart from the main star) - you can populate the nav computer (and system map) by FSSing and mapping bodies, getting "discovered by" and "mapped by" tags (and juicy padded credit values) when you sell the data.

Nice to know, so it's dependent on population. That's what i missed then, just went to scan some bio here it the bubble to get a feeling of it, and was surprised to see fully scanned systems that i wasn't really supposed to visit as of what i remember.
