First and foremost: I'm newbie in a slightly tuned Siderwinder. I may lack the knowledge of all the mechanichs but I found my last experience pretty interesting.
I'm supercruising around Eravate Nav beacon, and I find another NPC siderwinder zipping close to me, so I lock on.
A quick scan reveals he's wanted, so I bring out the FSD interdictor and we both drop out of FSD.
At this point in time we are about 30 light seconds from the main star, so we're not really close to anything in particular.
The other pilot has a good bounty on him so we start fighting. he's good.
After 5 minutes he's still at 60% and i'm still at 97% or so when suddenly a new contact appears on the radar.
Considering I was fighting I had an hard time keep tracking of the bad guy while selecting the other vessel.
Turns out it's a NPC system security ship.
Hurray I say, he'll join the fight and help me out. I was wrong.
He starts a scan of me while i'm shooting and keeping the other guy in the crosshair.
THEN... he says "everything ok, go ahead commander" or something like this.
And then he sits there while a random guy is trying to secure a criminal to the local security office.
he's not scanning the other guy or giving a damn about why 2 ships are fighing.
I ignored it for more 40-50 seconds and things gets even worst.
He's just idling at slow speed when in a turn he's in the way, and my plasma cannon hits him, ing him off.
Now 2 ships are firing on me, I get hull damage and I've to bail for my life.
I hit supercruise, land in the first dock nearby.
I end up paying 1200 Cr of repairs, 110 cr fine for accidental fire and loosing a 26k Cr bounty.
