System Spec

I wouldn't go too mad on a new gfx card, your cpu will bottleneck it.

Thanks all,

Toasted, I'm considering the R7 260x or GTX 750 Ti, do you think my CPU WILL bottle neck those? Could you offer a better/more in line with my CPU GFX card?

Having said that though, If I do get one of those I'll be about 1/4 of the way to upgrading with MOBO/CPU/RAM. Oh and SSD (better) PSU, cooler etc. etc. etc.

A used gtx670 is a steal these days - if you buy a factory overclocked one your not that far of a gtx 770.

But know your psu and cables and casesize. Many buy a new gpu, and end up buying a new psu and case just to get it installed and working.

Same goes for the gtx760.

I've noticed that the price of the R9 280 Dual-X 3GB cards (from Novatech and others) appears to be on offer at the moment and down at the £160 mark.....

From what I can recall, they're not phenomenal cards, but they're the higher end of the mid range and more than man enough for ED.

I have a GTX 760.

With your budget - if you are looking to get something now - I would go for the GTX 750ti.

I am not a fan of AMD/ATi myself - but that is more personal preference than anything else.

Can't say on your CPU though.

However, if you CAN wait, then do - as all parts will come down in price as new stuff comes out. Especially with the hardware generation changes due. You might be able to get a better upgrade bundle.

Thanks for all your suggestions.

I'm not really "clued up" on GFX Cards

From the suggestions would R9 280 Dual-X 3GB be best followed by R7 260x with GTX 750ti being 3rd?

How much are you planning to spend on the GPU? R9 280 is vast superior than R7 260X and GTX750Ti and costs more £165 vs £100.

In r9 280 price range I would suggest considering GTX760. It has about the same price but is a little better in terms of performance:
