Its rare but ive found plenty on my travels, just depends how much exploration you do.

Most of the ones I've met out on my travels have been in pairs. But I've probably ever found less than 30 systems with them in.
Pity these do not pay out more than a few peanuts...unlike exobio :-/
I really don't care about the credits, its the thrill of the discovery that counts, some of the best stuff ive found is worth naff all, but the screenshot is priceless.

I do understand, and am a big fan of the stellar screenshots posted on the ED Facebook/Instagram!
As for the credits, I don't really need any (10 billions in the bank) but the payout is basic like a score. Like for any game you play, the score is important.
One has to admit the the payout of most activities in ED is pretty unbalanced, and would not even require much work to get it right.
Indeed, if payouts were reduced to those when I started playing, the payments for NSP etc. would be perfectly balanced.
It was quite fun hoping that profits from a mission or some trade was sufficient to do any repairs and refuel, and still leave some in the bank to grow...

I pretty much agree with you, and sometimes wish we would be back to a time money did really matter but...oh man, these rebuy costs were terrifying! PvP is fun, but was borderline traumatic at that time! :-/
