Tbh, Would be kinda interesting to see what they would come up with...
Pirate paint jobs.
Raider kit and associated rust bucket paint. And protective cage around the glasswork like the AspX raider kit.
Special rusty poorly welded patchwork refitted panels oil stains and burn marks paint. Possibly with gouges down the side from mail slot incidents.

I would be the first to raise my hand but we already have it.. the type 10. Go look.. the bolt ons to the type 9 are the same quality as the rest of the ship kits.. its not a first order modelling job (white knights told me this matched the lore... /facepalm).

Was just about to post exactly the same thing.
To be fair, I guess we already have a similar situation (cosmetically), where the Viper 3 ship-kit can make it look like a Viper 4 or where the Eagle ship-kit can make it look like an iEagle and that doesn't seem to put people off.
I like my T9s, and I've even bought paint-packs for them, but I'm not sure I'd pay for a ship-kit for a T9 instead of just replacing it with a T10.
Maybe a "Raider" T9 ship-kit would be a better idea than a regular one?

There’s only one paint for the type 9... the limited gold that came out last Christmas. Yeah.

No its brilliant, the type-10 is the type-9 but truly multipurpose, it puts that frame up to python / anaconda class. Keep it with unengineered 7d thrusters and the feel is close.. enough...
Its about as good as the cutter for a drifty turretboat in combat. Also helps if you have multiple accounts so you can save certain ships for certain accounts and not have the head problem of which one to use when you have the option.
I would prefer more paintjobs in line with its role as a big hauler.
In terms of shipkit we could make the Type-10 totally useless by adding the same spoiler and winglets on the T-9!

im pretty sure it will look like a car which has crashed through Halfords and come out the other end worst for wear;
all the T9 needs is a cow paint job as so...
although IIRC there is one flying around somewhere by a dedicated fan with funds who purchased the said paint pack at auction??
