T Flight Stick X throttle trouble. And annoying reverse without asking

I jumped back into the Universe over the weekend, and managed to muddle my way through getting myself back up to speed.
But all that aside, I have run into a couple of annoying problems: My Thrustmaster T Flight Stick X's (NOT HOTAS) throttle slider is not being read like it used to. - It requires some funky "up and back to neutral/down and back to neutral" motions in order to get the speed set properly.
It USED to be read through it's entire range (just over a year ago).
The other problem is that something in the game is resetting my forward thrust to reverse.
This is not due to me hitting a reverse button.
This has occurred when I've been approaching a landing pad, AND when entering combat.
And it just happens out of the blue (several times over the last two days).
I am wondering if anyone has had similar trouble?

Binding issue of some sort. I use that same slider on T16000 FCS HOTAS stick for cargo hatch open/close. After I start the game, on some ships the cargo hatch gets open by itself on takeoff, I have to slide it a bit back and up to close it. My setting is slide down to open, slide up to close and since it's an axis slider, no wonder it gets confused, but apart from that minor inconvenience at startup, this works for me. After I do that the first time, it doesn't happen again in the same game session.

Thanks Ophion.
I did sort it out. -One silly keybind conflict was causing the problem. Took a little digging but I took care of it.
