T.Rex model was changed?

Will there be a way to choose the Rex model from Jurassic Park 1 over the updated model from Jurassic World?

I personally liked the old model, as it more closely resembled Rexy from the original Jurassic Park film. The new one has far too many alterations to the skull (eye socket deformation, size of lower mandible) to resemble the first iteration.

Yeah the first model looks better. It's more like what the movie Rex looked like. Maybe it's a skin or you can breed a new Rex from fresh DNA or use the DNA from the JP Rex?

I would say it's most likely a skin. I hope we can get the first one though.

I think it is most definitely a Cosmetic Gene difference. I think the Cosmetic Gene tree purely changes skins if I am to understand it correctly so far. With that reasoning you probably will be able to get both?

I don't really see a significant model change...it would be weird for them to make a drastic change for the franchise's biggest star. I think it's purely the front facing angle that makes it look different.

In JWE's preorder trailer, the rex looked just as it does in the first 3 movies.

I personally think JWE found the sweet spot between the two. The Jurassic Park model was definitely bulkier. JWE's rex is not as slender as Rexy in Jurassic World, has a little meat on its bone but not as much as the original JP depictions. Rexy in Jurassic World was also pretty....cartoony looking, for a lack of a better word. I always felt look she looked so silly in Jurassic World.
