T6 just got a new lease of life

I cant afford an Orca but wanted to have a dabble with passenger missions so i had a look at my fleet and decided it was time to take the dust sheet off my T6 , kick the tyres, check oil levels and hoover out the old crisps from the crack in the seat and deck out as a middle class cruise bus.

Sadly due to the size i could not fit in the grand piano and pianist , perhaps i will try that mod if i respec my T7 but i am finding it fairly profitable.

No Eng mods but it handles ok, class 4 shield with 2 a rated shield boosters and chaff along with some mines to slow down an attacker seems to be safe enough. Jump range is ok for in bubble tours and should a passenger want to stay on the down low for any reason she is nimble enough to fast dock before a scan.

I still want an orca tho ;). 37 mill saved up so far.

The T6 is a nice passenger ship.

Actually, the T6 is a very underrated, very versatile ship. Great for trading rares, great for exploration, nice for passengers, excellent for wanted passengers, nice miner, nice for delivery/fetch/salvage missions, the only thing its not very good at is regular trading :D and obviously combat.

Lots of module slots, very fast, very good jump range, great view, cheap. And its sounds awesome!

The T6 is my current passenger ship and a fine job it does.
However it is much too valuable as a multi-role ship so I am switching it back and converting my AspX miner to passenger missions. My Python (the mining beast) will be taking over in the mining department.

Indeed.. sometimes its good to step back and realise we do not have to spend megabucks of the big ships to make a usable ship foe what we want to do. No need to use a sledgehammer to crack a nut etc

Fly safe all

Been working all day mayhap i will get to take flight later tonight

True.

The only large ship I still keep is a Cutter, and it only leaves the dock for trading CGs. Most of my time is spent on the Cobra, Asp Explorer and Clipper, with some sprinkles of T6, Courier and Adder.

I love all of my ships, but the Type 6 will always be my favorite.

Explores better than a Cobra
Mines better than a Cobra
Trades better than a Cobra
Transports better than a Cobra

Like mentioned above, it can't fight for anything. If it wasn't for that, it'd be the best budget multirole.

What I find sad, is that it's better suited for exploring than Lakon's Diamondback Explorer.

In my Cutter, we only use solid gold, diamond encrusted sledge hammers to crack an extremely rare endangered species of space-nut that may or may not actually be sentient.

Sometimes it's cool to crack the normal ones in a normal way in my Courier, though.

Aside from the dedicated passenger liners, the best ships for passenger missions are those with loads of internals, mostly of close to equal sizes. So Anaconda, Python, Type 6, Type 7 (if you're feeling suicidal), Dropship ... as a general rule, the more class 5 and 6 optional internals it has, the better.

AspX also is good for carrying a single explorer passenger long distances as you can fit a 10 cabin business class internal in the 5 slot and only lose a couple of LY jump range. Mine goes from 45 to 43, which is more than okay given how much these guys are offering.

I also am a committed member of the T6 owners club. It's up there with my Cobra for best ship.

Might have to re-task it from running drugs to running passengers. Probably need to buy a new paint job too...
