T7 or not too T7. This is a question.....

Right I am doing a big old grind at the mo in my pretty little ASP (all 116t of trading sweetness)

What should I go for next? mmm

A T7 for 17m which will take a few days

or the long slog for a Clipper at 22m. Pretty little clipper.... my precious....mmm pretty.

Practical or Looks.

Someone tell me what to do...... :eek:

If you are planning to run away from fights, the T7, otherwise the Clipper.

T7 is dirt cheap to run and insure, reasonably tough for a trader and a credit spewing machine (though remember it can't land on outposts). Just remember that you will need to tank it in order to be able to survive interdictions

Clipper is faster, more fun, packs a bigger punch but is considerably more expensive to own. (fully kitted out, a T7 is ~30m, a Clipper is nearer 50m)

If it's Cr you are after, T7 all the way (well, till you buy bigger), Clipper will be much more fun....

If all you want to do is trading, I'd get the T7.

After you get it if you change your mind it will take you next to no time to get enough funds with the trade in value to get the clipper.

I would say get the Cr for the Type-7 + cargo upgrades (that I assume you will need) and cargo to transport. You can potentially make more money and when you get enough for the Clipper + some change you can trade the ship for it.

If i'm not mistaken you lose 10% of a ships value when selling it so that's a 1.7M loss.

Now I haven't done actual calculations or anything but I would venture to say that using the T7 as a stepping stone will save you some time and give you a new ship to drive around in untill you get the clipper.

Exactly what my plan is, T7 then clipper to compliment my Asp. Doing some grinding in my Asp and T6 to achieve this, only another 10m to go.

So what's the different set up for trading in a T7 and Clipper?

I think obviously I want "my pretty" ... "COUGH" ... I mean the Clipper

But my end game is probably the Python. So which is best for trading and grinding upwards?
