T7 Vs Orca - Passenger Missions

I've recently upgraded my T7 to carry passengers but I nearly upgraded to an Orca because the FSD's can take me somewhat further (I think).

The only thing dissuading me to an Orca is the shields and armour, which don't look as good. However the positive is the jump range as I seek more money for an Anaconda.

Should I stick with the T7 or upgrade? Would be good to hear advice from people who have owned both to compare. Thanks in advance.

Sorry I can't give any advice as I haven't owned an Orca.

I've kept my T7 as a cargo hauler and am using my Python for non wanted passengers and my DBX for wanted passengers.

Because celebrities want to travel in style right? And criminals won't mind cramming into the DBX to keep a low profile lol.

The Orca has compared to the T-7 really excellent shields, smaller hitbox, better armour, more speed and better guns. The only advantage of the T-7 is that he has a better FSD for the size and can make greater jumps.
Ah and the Orca looks stilish, no one wants to travel in a container ship these days, no matter how cheap it is.

In my Opinion, the T-7 was and is still nothing more than a flying coffin. A deathtrap. Take the agile and fast Orca and you will survive a lot better ;)

Unless you get caught with wanted passengers outside a station. Then nothing will save you. You won't even be able to leap from your chair to the console button before you are floating between the scorched fragments of your destroyed ship... *snaps out of a daze. I'm not bitter at all :D

I have a soft spot for the T7, looks like it also makes a very good mining ship now after the buff.

The T-7 can haul more and jump a tad better, but is slow and gets alittle hot. The Orca can RUN from most anything, at the expense of capacity and range.

The Orca was made out to be the best of the liners on the wiki page but emphasised its really bad shields. To be honest I feel so vulnerable in the T7 it's not even funny.

Interesting the T7 can jump further. Unfortunately all of the high paying passenger missions are 5,000+ly away. I'm starting to think I got lucky with my 3m cr mission I had last night.

Any ships around the same sort of price tag of 45m cr that can jump further than the T7?
