T9 : fuel cost

Bump, any one have informations?

Depends if you fly it in Economy. I could do just under 100LY with a 64T tank using fastest route. Dude, by a good fuel scoop, losing 16T of cargo is not a big deal unless your trade route is incredibly short. The T9 costs 300,000 credits to fill, and it's thirsty.

On long routes 25LY+ each way, a scoop is a must. If my route is 7/8LY each way, I'll stick the extra cargo back on and pay the fuel cost.

Have switched to an Anaconda, as much as I miss my T9, I now completely agree with everyone saying the Conda is a better trader.

Thank you, then i will pass T9 to go on Python (to grind Anaconda)

What you do is the following:

Buy a fuel scoop (9 million credit one works well). Fill your tank when exiting your last hyperspace jump. Land at station to trade and sell the scoop, replacing it with a cargo rack. Run your trade route as normal with max cargo until you have only enough fuel for a last run. Buy the scoop again, fill your tank and sell when you land. Get cargo rack instead and carry on.

Free fuel while maximizing profits.

I don't see how anyone would bother running without a fuel scoop on any ship. On long runs even a small scoop would save you the money you'd lose from the few tons of cargo. I've spent a grand total of 800cr on fuel since the start of my career in december. I'm curious to know how much have those of you who pay for fuel spent, and how much you've travelled. I can't imagine fuel makes much of a dent in your overall profits but I'd say it's not negligible either.

I was stubborn about maxing out my t6 for a long time, until I got sick and tired of paying over 70k for a muliti jump run. Sacrificing a 16ton cargo bay, a top of the line scoop is well worth it.
