Newcomer / Intro T9 Trader

Hey Commanders,
Does anyone have any advice on the rear hardpoints for a T9 (turret type or mines)?
Or run really fast...lol
Thanks for any suggestions... o7

I have a turret beam laser on mine. The other hard points are all for mining.

It's a great ship, even if it does fly like a brick.

I wouldn't bother with either. Just make it as fast and strong as you can. Also, they're a bit of a mobile coffin without engineering.

My T9 became obsolete as a trader following acquisition of the Cutter so converted it to a solid mining ship, I use Pulse/Burst Turrets except Class 2 Mining Lasers and also deck out with a Fighter Bay and set NPC co-pilot on "defend" as I mine...never had a problem!

Open or solo/PG? Battle cow or trader?

Since you said trader, I wouldn't bother with weapons at all. They will only lead you to delay spooling up the FSD. If you think you need offensive capabilities, add a SLF. That one can shoot while you jump out.

A lot of engineering ahead:

Can survive NPC interdictions and even kill some smaller NPC pirates with the old "get their shields down and missile the drives" routine. Some tense moments if it gets chain interdicted by mission target Anacondas, tho.

Edit: Let's try it again with the actual engineering included: https://edsy.org/s/v5kxjsS
