Tables and benches

Hello everyone,

Where are the tables and benches I saw in previous video ? Gone like the security man ...[knockout]

Would be so much fun to manage park security or build some kind of restaurants or eating plazas.

I wouldn't have teased something in trailers or pictures that later cut out of the game then..... [down][mad]
But this is "transparent development" by frontiers. Maybe also called "a shoot in the foot". I feel cheated. Others feel cheated, too.

The picknick tables didn't make it on release unfortunatly ....
I would love to have some regular table's as well so we could have our own sitdown area's when guests are eating.

Guess they will show up sometime in the future. [happy]

I hope the tables will be launched soon. I really looked forward to be able to make more realistic restaurants serving. [happy]

I resorted to building my own until they come out with the (soonish?) Update.
.
The last word from Frontier is that "Not everything will make it into the game for launch." and "There will be an update later on to add the content that didn't make launch." (I'm paraphrasing, cant be bothered to go look it up.. but that's the long and short in similar words).
SO! Don't lose hope... Things are happening.. It might seem a little disappointing that the game was released with things missing... But considering the development time, and the fact that Frontier wanted to stick to their release date I'm pretty impressed with what we actually got.
Frankly, I'm glad they decided to just say "Opps, not ready yet" on some of the content. Id rather wait for an update than have a buggy bit of code (deliberately) tossed into the game just to make Release date. There are some AAA game producers out there that could learn a lesson from Frontier.
.
Plus of course, Mr Sam did let slip (in the launch day live stream) about potential future plans for Even more content. :)

Hey, can't build my local park without picnic tables and security guards! My local park has both, picnic pavilions and a security force that patrols the park.

I was hunting for those picnic table benches for SOO long before I realised they must have been cut from release. I hope we get them in the not to distant future.

I agree i want my guests to sit and eat and drink at tables rather than carrying their food and drinks onto rides and then throwing the trash on the ground as they leave the ride because the "timer" that indicates how long until they throw it on the ground is all used up by queuing/riding

they either need to add the picnic tables and make guests prefer to eat/drink on them... or they need to make the throw trash away timer not run while they are queuing/riding a ride... cus they just end up throwing the trash on the ground as soon as they leave... i have to have trash cans at all my ride exits to prevent this...

Picnic tables are such an obvious thing to need that the lack of even a prop version makes me think that Frontier have something in the pipeline. Maybe we'll get functional tables and chairs in a future update.

It doesn't matter if you have tables and benches or not until FD can get guests to sit facing the "correct" way on a bench and not walk through the table (or other scenery) when they leave. [mouth shut]

And how are the guests going to sit down or get up from the table? Animation-wise. Do they scoot the bench back. Will it be done the way guests enter and exit a ride car - by teleportation? I guess that could work though it might be a little weird-looking.

They do sit the correct way on benches. They will sit on either side of any bench that doesn't have a back on it. I quite like that little detail personally.

True enough, but put a wall directly behind that bench and, likely as not, the guests will sit "anti-pathward" with most of their body clipped into the wall and will get up and walk through the wall to get back to the path.

Well, that is certainly an excellent animation of a guest sitting down at a picnic table. I look forward to a group of guests trying the same thing and doing it as nicely. Multiplied by N picnic tables and N*[2,6] guests. Seriously, though. I'd love to have tables (picnic or otherwise) even if the guests have to teleport to use them.
