01 - phong - For oral use only.Swallow whole,do not chew or crush.
One of the psi defects of telepathy is an increase in empathic response,and whilst he could control the flow of thought,turning it off or on as one would a tap,emotion was an entirely different matter,and he groaned,cringing as he felt the wash of anger radiating from the irate woman suddenly focus on him as being the source of all fault in the universe.Another defect is the uncontrollable urge to translocate when the fight or flight threshold is breached which left her with a surprised expression on her face and him in a different system.
02 - Frank - The Way Forwar d
Mae's plans had worked. She'd manipulated the people of Planet Yook into thinking that the rest of their star system, Yurp, were some sort of enemy against whom they should be building walls.
The politically treacherous way Mae had usurped the royal family of Yook had earned her the nickname of Treasonous Mae.
She hesitated before committing herself to breaking ties with the rest of Yurp, asking her most trusted advisor about the consequences of her plan to implement her isolationist policies.
Her advisor sighed, "Effects, Mae, include runaway inflation, overly complicated import and export bureaucracy, and increased racial tension."
03 - Listeri69 - Always Check the packet...
Psykokow picked up a packet of Somerset Simply Slave Sausages.
I wonder how they actually make these? he thought to himself
Somerset Simply Slave Sausages are made from the highest quality slaves
First we dump our load in cider, until it goes tender and moist. once the meat is dripping, we make sure it's well hung.
after 3 weeks we remove the meat and place it in our applewood smoker after it is plucked, beaten and boned it is grinded vigorously and piped into our custom sausage casings.
Warning: Side effects may include 18th century syndromes...

04 - FelixBast - Going the distance
Wiping his hands on a greasy rag the engineer turned to me and said, “She can jump an extra 10 light years now. There’s gonna be a few minor side effects. Your hyper-drive will take longer to charge and it might run a bit hot, but nothing too serious.”
With my ship back in orbit, I plotted a jump to a system 30 light years away. This is something the old girl could not have managed before.
I engaged the hyper-drive and waited expectantly for it to charge up.
Suddenly the stars blurred and we were travelling through hyperspace, backwards.
05 - RoyalHankey - Snake bite antidote
Alien was bitten by a snake.
She was rushed into hospital for an antidote.
Alien kept saying don't inject me with that antidote.
Doctors said 'Keep still, keep still don't be silly.
Alien shouted 'YOU DON'T UNDERSTANT.
Doctors said 'We got your medical records from Preston'.
'They're wrong' Alien replied.
What you mean they are wrong.
You telling me the Doctors in Preston don't know what they doing.
Alien said 'They are very good doctors in Preston'.
Then what is wrong with you.
Alien replied 'I have only discovered recently, that I have side effects from any type of antidotes.
06 - Galactic Midden - Experimental Upgrades
Like a karate master chopping down an enemy horde, the steward expertly distributed the irate passengers' gifts. "Inside you'll find your complimentary Remlok, zero-g toothbrush, and of course your Adaptive Mood Enhancer", the steward announced stumbling between the smouldering cabins.
"When do we neutron jump from this fiery hell?" demanded one dignitary, wheezing snidely down his rather large proboscis. "We've already left sir", sighed the steward. "What!? We never got our champagne! This is outrageous".
Hearing this, Beluga One's passengers erupted. The weary steward, now drugged to the eyeballs from his own A.M.E. smiled blissfully, then initiated emergency evac procedures.
07 - Edith_The_Hutt - Death Stick
In the two point three millennia since mankind has invented firearms one lesson is learned too late by countless evolutionary dead ends: Guns are not magical death sticks. Certainly, a well placed shot will put a hole through your opponent and side-effects of that may include death; alternately they may involve a severely frakked off armed chummer who is now fighting for his life.
Gann cleaned his sword and looked at the two dead ends who had mistaken his dueling blade for decoration and their pea-shooters for an upper hand. He shook his head and limped towards the medical bay.
08 - moose666 - Have potato, will make vodka
"Where'd you pick this up from?"
Alice indicated a bottle in the vast drinks cabinet, the label sporting a black and orange horned head.
Her friend shrugged; "Read the bumph on the back, that may tell you"
She grabbed the bottle and began to read.
"Psykovodka is made from the freshest potatokows on planet Kowden, and is filtered eight times through last weeks drabbles for a unique experience."
She squinted at smaller text : "Side effects may include torn burp gaskets, intolerance of male plants, and uncontrollable punning. Warning, do not attempt to sing Postman Pat within 24 hours after consumption."
09 - Simoof - Last Man Standing. A story of love and regret and rectal trauma.
Nobody could have foreseen the catastrophical gastronomical cacophony that the exaggerated gravity of the colony would have on the settlers.
At just 1.5g workers tired much quicker. Men had special pants and women had special belts.
Commander Peen guffed in his hand and immediately brought it to his nose.
Something was seriously wrong.
Looking around the waiting room, he was the only one. The empty chairs all red speckled.
The PA burped to life. "Is anyone alive in Sector-Q?"
Peens, vocal chords were to weak to reply.
"Peen is" he thought to himself, before succumbing to the floor, stomach gurgling.
10 - insanephoton - The Green Machine
Dave was happy. He had just completed basic training and graduated as a Federal marine. As he and his comrades lined up for the shuttle they received an injection..
The following day Dave woke to an alarming sight. His skin had turned bright green. Heading straight to the medical office he saw that all his friends had the same.
'It's nothing to worry about. You've all been dosed with nanites. By the time those little critters have finished their work you'll be in better shape than you've ever been. The green skin will fade away in a couple of days'
