Hi Cmdrs,

i found this a few month ago and had it always on radar. Now Empyrion is going into early access phase on Steam. This game combines a few games p.e. Space Engineers, Planet Explorer, Elite Dangerous and so on...

You have to mine minerals, establish a base on a planet, in the orbit, asteroid fields. Build ground and atmospehric vehicles. Build bigger ships for FTL to other systems in the orbit.

Defend yourself and your base against the enviroment (pirates, natives, monster)

Multiplayer... in the end with dedicated servers and steam integration.

Oh and one nice litte thing right from the start... borderless space to planet entry ! Looks amazing.

This game is more PvE than PvP. This will not fit all but i like it. Its about exploration and survival... I will link a few vids from youtube here for the interessted.

I will buy me into the early access phase. Early access games are not my style but i will support this game. The release will be at the 5. august and the price will be around 15 - 20 dollar/euro. Thats okay...

I'm playing this at the moment (very early access, backers). Its a good game, in survival it works better than Space Engineers, which it closely resembles. For creative however, I think Space Engineers just pulls in front. But there is a long stretch ahead for this and indeed still for Space Engineers. So we will have two good games of a similar style to play. The planets are very small in Empyrion, I have noticed that and S/Engineers is huge (infinite PG no loading screens), plus planets are coming to S/Engineers, really very large planets. So Empyrion will have to match that.
Still lets wait and see. Good game overall though.

Also take a look at Interstellar Rift, another more advanced version of block building, very good game if a little limited at present. But there again they are all limited at present aren't they.
