A new game from Bohemia Interactive is out soon. Its called Take on Mars. You get to control missions and rovers etc. I play the Arma series all the time and know that BIS will not disappoint.

mmmm not sure, on one hand they are the people behind Arma 3 but on the other hand they did **** up Carrier command, don't think its my cup of Tea

I also think Carrier Command was the wrong direction for them. Tea or not, it is cheap ;) only costs about 2 pints!

ill wait for the Steam winter sale for this one. I would get it for £2.99 if nothing else was available at the time, but im in no rush for it.

What a cracking little simulator. I've just watched a pre-release video on youtube and it looks really good.

I can imagine that this will be a lot of fun for sad people like myself who have always wanted to control a Mars rover.

I think there is more to it than just controlling the rover but im happy to be a sad person as well....That will totally absorb me for hours :)

Some might be interested in this upcoming simulator from Bohemia Interactive (known for Arma milsim series):

Looks really interesting, unfortunately it's Steam only (I believe early alpha is available for download) so I won't bother.

Please move to appropriate forum, couldn't find one myself. Didn't we have an general games/astronomy forum here?

I really like this game, although I smashed my rover to bits driving off a cliff. :eek: I was trying to play it hardcore and only use the on-board cameras to navigate by. :eek: Lots of fun and surprisingly tricky at times, a bit like the game Lunar Flight, well, sometimes. :)

Desperately waiting for a direct download version ie NO third party managers/downloaders or anything like that needed...........

I can't wait to play this. Just waiting for non steam direct download.

I find it a quite enjoyable way to relax, there's no real challenge to the game, it's just nice and atmospheric.
