Space is huge! ED really drives this home.
Now in a *game* when investing some real time to reach remote destinations at least some times it would make sense i think to take the "remoteness" into account when rewarding players.
Be it by missions or markets actually acknowledging the fact that those places are not easy to reach so certain things are either more valuable there or only available there or "strange" due to the disconnect
It wouldn't have to be always like this but at least the chances for such "remoteness" consideration should be higher in such places.
Given such a system the lamenting about long journeys could be answered with: "... and it is worth it!"
