Tales of Vesperia DE: Second thread.

As well as twenty quid on Steam, I got forty quid to spend at GAME. I know exactly what I'm buying:

Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition

I loved this game on the Xbox 360. But the system died. Haven't been able to play the game for a few years now.

So when the surprise announcement this year of a DE anniversary release played at E3, I literally lost it.

I mean I was hyped to the max'! My favourite single player game ever! I get to play it again!

I am bursting with excitement. In just a few weeks I'll be back with the most well-written characters ever!

Yay!

Alright, I've added it on my watchlist. When somebody says "my favourite game ever" I think such game deserves closer examination even though it doesn't necessarily seem to be my sort of "thing". :)

Be warned. It's as Japanese as games get. But man is the story quality, and the combat is really fun. And I hadn't even scratched the surface of all the content before my 360 died.

I've played my share of RPG maker games, and I expect the gameplay will be similar.
I'm not really a fan of turn-based combat but I can survive it if the game is good (Like Child of Light I've played recently)

Oh... That's a good point.

The combat IS NOT turn-based.

Instead, when you meet a group of foes, you get taken to an arena mode and combat takes place in real-time. It's pretty cool.
