I've seen pirate adders go after my corvette, so I guess I didn't realize any such pirates exist!I got the impression they were pirates who didn't fancy their chances.
So, I in my 'conda, and I farm a compromised nav beacon for manufactured mats. I have the [allegedly] bright idea to go in there with one bar of platinum in my hold. "I'll get a few scans and have to do less chasing. Easy pezzy..." Not... As soon as I jump in, my main chat fills up with simultaneous scans, and half the blips go red at once. GAAAA! Barely got out of there with my butt intact. Talk about a blood hound's nose for precious metals! Doesn't anybody feed these people?! LOL!

Yes.But what happens when you jettison the cargo, do some of them give up and go into scoop mode?
Ha! Yes, you're right. Director's Cut version if I remember?Memories of the sentry gun scenes in Aliens.

In the old days (2015), you used to see the pirates picking up the cargo from the ships they'd blown up in the resource extraction sites, but i haven't noticed them do that recently. But what happens when you jettison the cargo, do some of them give up and go into scoop mode?
