tapir problems

Has anyone managed to Get the Habitat and Welfare right for Tapirs in Europe?, Says i need more soil and have filled the Habitat with it and still saying same? built a Rock Building for them as says Hard Habitat needed and still not moved the needle.
I am guessing this is a common problem maybe a Bug
Tried to send a Picture (.jpg) but would not let me?

Hi there, the images must not be larger than 1 MB.

Sometimes I confuse what they want and when something is too much.
Have you paid attention to that?

Is there still landscape above or below the enclosure?
Every terrain counts up to a certain height / depth.

I sent a picture of what i have Basic but need to solve first. 0% Hard Shelter 97% Dirt (need 100%)

Well, first look: You'll need to use actual rocks. Elevation like that doesn't count.(from my POV, it looks like you only use the elevation tool?)

Could you also add a a screenshot of the habitat requirements of the tapir? Bit curious about those bars
Pretty sure you also need some grass ?

Sometimes there's a slight bug/hiccup.
Just sending your animal to the trade centre/quarantine and moving them to the habitat again - will "reset" an animal sometimes..
At least an option to try :D

I have just moved over your pictured and clicked the middle button down to spin it around, oops forgot I wasn't in the game 😊

I assume the mound on the left is supposed to be a cave, could it be that you don't have the ceiling high enough for them to walk in. If you click the radar at the bottom left and choose the habitat button that they can traverse does it show as being blue on the inside ? This may explain why it shows as none yet.

The animals also always need extra wide entrances and shelters.
Because the hit boxes of the animals, and maybe the terrain, are very large.
A pangolin needs an entrance three times the size of the animal.

The headmap is a very good idea, Garyd73!
This happens to me often when I look at pictures that I want to move around in the zoo.
Then I'm puzzled why that's not possible.

It’s terrible.

You should click on an animal and check the traversable area via the heatmap. It will tell you, if the Tapirs can enter the shelter. Probably they can't.

Also: Why do you need 100 % Dirt? If I check here it says between 30 and 70 , wich seems much more realistic to me.

Thanks for the replies i am just going back on game and try the gap. As for the Hard Shelter i tried rocks to no avail, still the same. Still does not explain on the Mud.
But the one Tapir is Impressed need some adjustments, grateful for info only had 2 weeks and still pretty much learning

You need less soil. Untill it hits the green. I'd suggest using short grass, as that is missing and needed as well.
As for hard shelter, it just needs a little more covered area's.

See the white bars with the terrain? This is what you must hit. If it's over the right side, it's too much, if it's over the left side it's too little. So as I said before and Luuknoord said now: Less soil. And more short grass. And maybe make the ground in the shelter a little more even. so a bigger part is traversable.

shelters made only by elevation tool, abolutely work. maybe the openings of that cave are not wide enough. or there are too sharp edges that make the cave impassable. you dont have to use the premade rocks at all.
