Even fixed weapons have micro gimballs. Stray on target while on foot is very difficult especially with a controller. A wee target lock for being basically on target (maybe an option) without be a huge help. Especially for us old guys who have had many years to "git gud" yet still do not excel!

I`ve got arthritis in both hands, so I give this lock or semi auto-lock for gamepad users a +1.

As an alternative... choose your weapons carefully - shotguns & rocket launchers can be more forgiving when it comes to aim. Also, eventually the community will figure which weapon/grade/mods is Odyssey's equivalent of the old CS P90 - spray & pray ftw! I've seen an accuracy engineering mod, and it may be the first one I try.
An option for something like the SRV's aiming system would be nice. It would have enough drawbacks: some jitter so not guaranteed to hit even a stationary target, always center-torso so only the occassional lucky jitter headshot, and some time delay in tracking moving targets. "Gitting gud" without the assist would always be the more effective way to play, but it would give us potatoes a fighting chance.
