Newcomer / Intro Target selections from SRV

Guys I have watched a couple of videos on Youtuve about Commanders driving around and seeing what the items are (text under material for example), grab it and straight onto the next one where the same data is displayed.
What am i doing wrong?
I go to panel one and select an item, grab it, then back to panel one for the next one, etc

Is there a "next item" key or something to save me going back to panel one each time to select the next?

Yes.

There are bindings for next and previous target that can be set, mine are on the left and right arrow keys on my keyboard but I cannot remember if that is default, it is the same binding I use when in my ship.

No need to use the contact panel.
