Targeting question

I was exploring some unidentified signals last night and came upon a bunch of cargo containers. I could not target them except with the target in front button. Didn't there used to be a key/button that cycled all the targets? All the ones listed are 'target ship' or 'target threat', which don't pick up cargo containers. Is there a quick target button I'm missing ?

Thanks

You can use the 'target ahead' button.... I'm not sure what it is mapped to by default, I'm using a HOTAS.... But it should be listed in the controls section underneath 'targetting'....

Hope this helps!

Edit: It seems that it's mapped to the 'T' key by default if you're using a mouse and keyboard....
Edit 2 : Sorry, it seems that I've misread your question..... doh.......

No, that's it.

You either target what's in front of you, or go to the contacts pane on the left UI panel, where you can lock on from there.

Thanks for the responses.

I know how to map the controls, and use target ahead. I was wondering if there was another mechanism to cycle non-ship targets. I use my Hotas to quickly run through ship targets and wanted to do the same for non-ship targets (ie cargo)

The "POV2" directional thumb control on the Saitek stick... left hand side of the "safe" switch allows you to cycle targets. At least it did, last time I checked. It should work for cargo too I would think. The number 4 button, or B as it is named on the stick is for target ahead.
