Targetting individual components of ships

Hi.

Is there a way to target individual components when fighting with pirates? Is there a way to destroy their engines so that they are dead in the water or is this not possible yet?

Theres an option ingame to ""target next/ previous subsystem"" on PC.. I dont know about xbox or ps4..
have a good look in Control options there may be a similar option

You can select using the left panel / sub-targets - also tells you what equipment the target has
or
You can assign a key to cycle the sub-targets. Personally I find this easier.

(I play on a PC)

There is a preset keybind for it already on the controller, can't remember what it is off the top of my head though, you need to hold X or triangle (it's definitely bound to one of those) so the context thing pops up then you'll see which other button it is.
