Targetting next without losing scanning lock

Please let us target next heavenly body (be it in-system or next jump destination) without losing scanning lock. Scanning anything takes quite some time and it would give explorers something to do meanwhile. Be it in a form of a higher priced advanced scanner or whatever. Kinda like prospecting limpet controller that can control several limpets before the fist one is destroyed. Though for targeting it would be better never to lose lock of the body you're scanning or you can't fool around.

Oh my yes. Have the DSS just scan anything in range, STARTING with any targets, and then just hitting anything else. So that I can plot out the next one to visit, without stopping the scan.

Also, I'd like a better way of seeing WHAT is WHERE- an actual map that represents the distances between planets accurately. And in the "Navigation" list, have "UNEXPLORED (<star> <position>)" instead of just a list of UNEXPLOREDs. The nav computer KNOWS this after a honk, the data is just not visible.

i hope the "Core gameplay" revamps include things like this

or

you can travel 100 jumps, select anything on the way to scan it, then hit the "next waypoint" keybind and continue your journey
BUT
select an USS on the way to the station in your final system -> the keybind doesn't work anymore.

now - why do i have to select ANYTHING straight under my reticle to perform a basic scan on it to begin with.
USS should resolve within the max scan angle+range without need to select them... (this includes stellar objects and surface scans)

I'd love it if the cone of the scanner grew wider as you approached the target and became infinite when you're close enough, so that you wouldn't need to face the centre of a star as you jump into a system.

Not sure if automatic scanning is good, perhaps what is scanned is better to be a deliberate decision. Though automatic scanner is definitely something one would expect as an evolution if scanning would be detached from facing the object.

An orery has already been proposed several times, I don't think there was ever an answer from FD.
