We're in a team and he was able to board my ship fine but when I attempt to board his cobra I keep getting the error "Access denied" for no reason even though we are still in a team and I'm at his hanger. Anyone experienced this before?

Can report that this has occured to me and a friend whilst exploring and being in a team a few days ago, with each commander using their own vessel.
When I exited my SRV and walked out onfoot, I could not re-enter my own SRV. "Access denied".
Very strange.

I solved the problem by alowing Team-Boarding in Coms-Tab
Probably locked the keys in it. Did you try an e-breach?
Or a wire coat hanger?
