glad i found this before i made a new thread.
as mentioned, there are group-play elements coming in the near future so i'd just like to toss some ideas on the table that might make the experience more inclusive to those grouped.
BOUNTY HUNTING
when grouped up, the party(leader) will have to register in a station with the local security contact. doing so gives the party equal share of all bounties claimed based on the number of people in the group. larger groups means better chances of taking down larger targets, earning larger bounties. win-win for all. teamwork/cooperation amongst players who might otherwise struggle alone. this also opens up a possible new feature - Wolfpack Request Boards (yeah, i just totally made that up...) players in a system/station can register their names on the boards up to a certain number decided on by whoever is trying to make the wolfpack, this can be tiered based on target type (small ship, large ship, or player {pvp} bounties) to prevent trolling/exploiting, all bounties are split at the time of the target's destruction. if a pack member dies, their profits are forfeited (or they can be divvied amonst the surviving members, but this could lead to one member turning on the rest to steal their shares. one could say that the turncoat could then be penalized and forfeit their share as well, but as we all know, friendly fire; accidental or otherwise, is very unforgiving in this game at present and if an accidental shot costs you 45 minutes of bounties earned... i think its obvious where this is headed.)
mining, trade, escorting, and exploration could be treated, more-or-less the same.
THOUGHTS?
