Tech Broker unlocks and Engineering

I have 4 Guardian Gauss cannons, and I go and get the tactical core chips and other things. Spent a LOT of time getting them... Only to fly to Ram Tah and find out they can't have the Anti Guardian Zone Resistance added to them. I spent all this time to acquire them, never used them, decided to work and get the resistance mod so I can use them in at a Titan. Frustrating... Why can't I remove the mod and apply the resistance? Or how about being able to apply the resistance and use them anywhere?

This is what upsets me the most about this game. I've spent quite a bit of time acquiring engineering mat and tech broker items, and then they sit in storage until I need room and dispose of them. Wasted gameplay and time. I don't have the time, nor do I enjoy the minutiae of researching every module or mod that I may want so I don't waste time on mods that don't work.

It certainly is a frustration, I picked some up for my alt right at the beginning, before life took over for too long, only to come back to find that they’re all but useless to me.

You can still use them on Interceptors, but I prefer the accuracy of the originals personally.

I’m putting together a shard build for the Titans as they’re so much better than the AX missiles and you don’t need the armour penetration of the Guass. So if you’re still looking for a Titan build, might be an idea to get some shards and use your thargoid mats to protect them.

I have to assume we're talking about mod gauss here, a tech broker purchase rather than an unlock. I always found "This is a pre-engineered module and cannot be modified" to be pretty self explanatory. The only exception to this was adding experimentals to pre-engineered FSDs, which I think was originally a bug. You can add the anti anti guardian field mod to modshards, (also a bug, or an oversight at least) but it removes the engineering and turns them into normal shards, so don't do that. I didn't think anyone used mod gauss tbh, I bought some then the internet told me normal gauss are better so they've been gathering dust ever since. You only need to unlock standard gauss cannons once and you can buy (and modify) as many as you like.

O, well considering how long ago I got this... And then they, because they can, they nurfed every single guardian module. They took the time I took to make this happen and pushed it aside. Gameplay lost. Sorry, you bought the wrong module!!! HA HA! Kiss off, better luck next time!
