Tegu, Monitor, Perentie

Ok, what do y'all want?

The tegu, which comes from South America? I'm hoping for the Argentine black-and-white...

The perentie, Australia's version of the monitor lizard...

Or 3rd monitor lizard?

The only monitor lizard I want now is the Lace monitor, one of several Australian monitors. They'd be unique from both the Nile monitor and Komodo dragon in that they are proficient climbers. Not to mention they are the only monitor lizards on display in New Zealand zoos.

Perenties would be nice, as they would add another Australian desert species. They aren't kept that often outside Australia but at least one place that does (Zurich) does give them access to a large outdoor enclosure for part of the year:

As an alternative to the tegu, I would choose the Northern caiman lizard for South America. It is slightly bigger than the tegu and, while they do look a bit different, they would have similar animations to the monitor lizards. Because they eat almost nothing but snails, they are suitable for all sorts of mixed-species enclosures - I have certainly seen images of a mixed enclosure for caiman lizards and Cuvier's dwarf caiman before. This species would require the addition of both climbing and diving animations to the large lizards. They have also been kept in large outdoor enclosures like the one at Miami Zoo here (the lizard is visible at the water's edge to the left of the image):

I still want some iguanas without the exhibit box (and I belive that if we get a tree monitor it should be placed in such a box, at least I've never seen them in something bigger than that). Tegu would be a great addition, specially for low budget zoos. Perentie would be nice too, but I really would love a crocodile monitor, if we really would get an other species.

Yes! I think that the Caiman lizard is one of the most visually stunning lizards out there. I just never realized that they got that big, and haven't seen then displayed in open exhibits before. I think they would be great as a habitat species to showcase their climbing and swimming behavior, however I would still be happy even if they were only included as an exhibit animal. (Of course, that opens a whole other can of worms, we need bigger exhibits.)

Yeah, I'd love to see something like the Marine Iguana in the game, it would be interesting to see and has an interesting habitat option

The perentie would be amazing!
every time I hear about perenties, I think of Joanna :ROFLMAO: *giggles

I would love to get all 3 of them in the Game.
The Perentie looks absolutely awesome.
We do also need a arboreal Species of Monitor Lizard (Croc Monitors look awesome but there are probably lots of other awesome ones).
The Earless monitor lizard would be really nice as a Exhibit Animal

Oh, ok. For some reason I always thought they were a different group. Good to know
