I think it would be really cool if you could get from a special Thargoid engineer who has been banished from the other That God's special Thargoid special effects on some of your weapons, some of which are telepathic weapon special effects.
The telepathic effects could be very expensive ( both in cool down and in requiring a special synthesis that uses rare materials to get the ammo that has the special effects).
Some of the effects could include your opponent who is hit by them seeing double, or that your ship appears to be a different one than it is, or that the ship hit thinks if has suffered damage it hasn't.
For NPCs, there could even be powers where they run in fear, or fight on your side...
