Teleport Between Ships - Why Not? - Suggestion.

Hello Friends commanders E.D. and Frontier,
this is my first contact and probably my last,
but I had to write, I ask the DEVs, to think about it, because it greatly hinders the gameplay and continuity in ED.
Suggestion:
January 10, 3306, and in ED, with so much technology advancement, we still can't teleport to another ship at another station!
Explain the reason for this suggestion and also complaint:
Being YouTuber, which is beside the point, several friends of mine and acquaintances, bought the ED, and still buy, as I indicate. But unfortunately, not everyone always plays. I particularly like to do exploration, fighting, mining and etc. But since I can't teleport from one ship to another, which is in another station, I get stuck in one station to play with friends, so, losing mainly the exploration, most also do not explore for it.
So I don't play ED anymore like before, because if I'm going to do exploration, I'll have to do solo, and I'm away from the system where my friends are, I'd have to wait for me to come back to play together (the vast majority only fight) ), so we get stuck where the interns are or are forced to play ED alone for those who like exploration.
Particularly I am stopping playing because I have no progression in ED, so. Since that would be very easily solved, if I could teleport from one ship that is in system x to the other ship that is in system Y and can play with my friends when we meet and when I am solo, I can continue the exploration. , with the other ship that is in another system, far away from there.
Think carefully, because this is very disturbing and is one of the reasons why many people play solo ED, which is a shame, a great simulator, with so much potential, but with limitations of evolution in the game.
Big hug to all.
Good work.
NOTE: I used google translator, sorry English.

Sincerely,
LePontello.

This comes down to the silly fact we can only have one character.

With more than one character, you could have an explorer guy out in the black, and a standard guy doing the other 99% of the gameplay.

You can have as many as you want, you just need to purchase new ones.

But apart from that, why your one CMDR can't teleport willy-nilly around the galaxy has been discussed many times before in many threads, so all the reasons other players have put forward as to why this is a bad idea are available for easy perusal using the search function. One of the first is the way exploration data is handled, it stays with the pilot, so teleporting back and turning in all your data from the far side of the galaxy, then teleporting back out to continue exploration would render a major part of the game mechanic pointless, the entire exploration system would need reworking if teleporting was allowed.

Just pony up a few dollars when the game is on special and grab an extra pilot. Of course allowing multiple CMDRS per account would be nice and that's definitely something I would be for even if it cost ARX to have the extra CMDRS. If they did that I might have finally found something worth spending ARX on.

And then pony up all the dollars for all the cosmetics too.

Sure. That isn't Konami level terrible at all.

Yup. Select ship at login would be an excellent and far more flexible option.

The price would be to scrap Ship Transfer. Having both would be exploitable and even Pilot Transfer on its own would require some changes to the game.

Materials would be stored on the ship at least until you dock and transfer them to ‘universal storage’.
Exploration data would also need to be tied to the ship.
Missions would also need to be ship specific.
And so on.

Even with all that it would still vastly improve the game in terms of removing all that wasted taxi time.
And removing ship transfer would ensure that the only locations available for you to login to are places you’ve actually flown to yourself and parked a ship.

Hate the idea myself. I don't want ship transfer removed and I don't want commander teleportation in the game either. Awful idea.

One ship, one commander, many teleports.

edit: but I already have many a ship and taxis and alt-accoutns ... just why... because humans havent invented a frigging telport yet.

Who's talking about multiple commanders. Op is talking about one commander teleporting between ships.

Why not?

There isn't going to be teleporting. The OP is complaining because his "one" CMDR is stuck out exploring when his friends come on to play in the bubble and he can't join them. There are two possible solutions, teleporting, which is a bad idea for many reasons and isn't going to happen, or multiple CMDRS, which is a good idea for many reasons and which you can already do by the simple action of purchasing another game licence. It would be much better if we had mutliple CMDR slots for the one purchase like many other MMO's.

And no teleporting in game isn't about whether or not we havet invented it, it's about the many things it would make worse or break completely in the game. I refer you to the other multiple threads on the same subject accessible via the search forums function.

Because it completely breaks the lore of the game. If there are teleporters, there is no reason for space ships. You can just teleport everything. It makes the whole premise of the game redundant.

While I'm all up for QoL updates, they should never make the lore redundant. It's one of the reasons I was so against instant ship transfer and why I hate galaxy wide telepresence. The lore, the game world are important to me and I hate inconsistencies.

Teleportation would make vast parts of the game redundant.
