Teleporting Missiles

I was fighting in a CZ with an Eagle today for some entertainment when I had a very close call with an Anaconda. I managed to get outside of his gun range and was charging up my FSD when he launched a missile from almost 4.5km behind me...then all of a sudden it teleported in front of me and killed me before I even had a chance to outrun it. Anyone else had this happen before? I'm sure this isn't "working as intended"....

I have not seen this before, so not much help. But I wanted to post to tell you thank you.

Your post title reminded me of those Kilrathi cloaked missiles that only uncloaked long enough to change course. I deeply hated those things, but remembering them brings a nostalgic tear to my eye. :)

If you force an AI to fire missiles near maximum range, it will teleport almost directly in front of you. It's like it reaches the edge of some bubble of space that curves back in on it's self.

Been happening as far back as I can remember (September 2014), and it's pretty much 100% repeatable.

this has happened to me to, very scary to see missiles fired, then they come rushing towards you from the front.
It's also happened to me with mines where even a single mine will keep popping up in front of me after I get a certain distance away.

Had a couple plasma bolts come by me today and there were no ships in the area... I turned and was ready to engage something, but nothing was there. That was odd.

100% occurence chance for me. Missiles will first be shot from NPCs, teleport in front of me, come back and eventually hit me. Never minded that since these are heat seeking missiles.

same thing happens with mines.. and its been like that for ages.. looks like its too difficult for them to fix.

I had teleporting mines. I experimented with them once.

I targeted something that was chasing me and dropped a couple of mines. The mines dropped back to the target and then seemed to try to follow it. A little while later they teleported in front of me to the extreme range of my scanner then fell back on the target again. They repeated this several times. Never hit the target or did it any damage.

I do notice sometimes the whole screen redrawing itself. Happens quite often when mining. When the screen redraws everything is not quite in same place that it was. All my drones are slightly further away and they have to huddle up behind me again.
