Teleporting missles and suicide heat-seekers

Ever since I have been using heat-seeking missiles, they have been teleporting ALL THE TIME.
Right before they hit my target they teleport 1-2km away and have to come ALL THE WAY BACK.

Also when I fire heat-seekers, IF THE TARGET DIES before the missiles get there, THEY LOVE TO RANDOMLY CHOOSE A TARGET.

Usually they hit a friendly and get me a bounty, but my OWN heat-seeker just circled behind me and hit my own ship. What is this?
I wasn't planning on making this thread until my own missile decided TO DO A FLIP AND HIT ME.
Also, my PDT doesn't shoot my own missiles EVEN IF THEY ARE COMING AFTER ME.

Every bug I have ever seen has been fixed except the teleporting missiles bug.

I have experienced this from the recieving end. Was chased by an NPC Elite Anaconda which constantly fired missiles at me. The would vanish and reappear roughly 1km in front of me.

Was there another player in your instance?

If there was it could be an issue with p2p and lag. Rubber banding generally happens to me when other players are around and BF3 had issues similar to this due to its p2p net code.

If there wasn't then something client side is acting up.

Either way ticket it, it's still pretty bad whatever the cause

same here with mines launched from a T6. if the mine doesn't hit the enemy ship, then it'll appear in front of me seconds later.

I've seen missile fired from a Python appear behind me. I had flight assist off and was facing the Python as I 'flew' away. The Python would close, get shot by me and fall back. When I started shooting it would fire missiles but the white missile icon would appear to be behind me on the scanner. The ammo counter on the point defense dropped as well so it thought the missile was behind me. I got a screenshot but never got around to logging the bug.

Has happened with both players and npcs. There were no players when it happened for this thread.

I am seeing this regularly in RES fights (with no live CMDR in the instance). First I get missile warning and I see on the scanner it is launched from the attacking ship behind me then the missile does not move (on the scanner) and then suddenly appears in front of me (on the scanner and eventually also in my field of vision) and explodes. Sometimes it also hits me. I never figured out how to interpret the scanner readings, or where the missile really is when fired on me.

I knew PDT shooting your own missiles served a purpose. Then you have to ruin it and asked FD to fix it. Now you suffer...
