Just had a quick thought about CZ's and is there any reason we shouldn't be able to sign up for a short term enlistment for feds or the empire? What I mean is go to bulletin board, see an ad that says "The Federation needs you" with a big ole uncle sam man pointing because those feds do often need help... click on that and get spawned in a random CZ with a F63 out of a capital ship and do respawn pew pew for half or quarter credits of normal ship kill then maybe an hourly bonus dependent on your combat rank. I say this for 2 reasons:
1. It would help new players learn to fly and fight a lot, new techniques and so on in high combat areas with real players that me as an experienced player would not go without a very good ship. I let a buddy try out my game to get him interested.... the panic of giving control of my A-spec FDL in a asteroid field is terrifying
2. It does increase danger in combat zones because their are more players there with less risk than player owned ships and those little ships are the most annoying to hit with fixed weapons!
Plus I really want to fly a condor out of a capital ships launch pad
