I found a system today with 2 water worlds and 2 high metals that were all terraform candidates, and another system nearby with 1 earth-like and 2 additional high metals that were terraform candidates. I screenshot all my WW's, Earth-likes, Ammonia's and TC's as well as the systems they come from, so I have some data for the researchers. Currently I'm on my 2nd exploration trip. The first one was a test run - about 400Ly out. This trip was 2200Ly out but taking a wide swing back in. Trying to earn my way into a diamondback explorer. Currently i'm using a hauler.

Nice job, some nice finds there.
If your interested in turning over your data after you get back it's also very useful to have a screenshot of all the stars in a system along with the planets of interest as that will help in determining the black-body temperature of the planets.

You see all kinds of peeps here (well, not in the explorer subforum but in main) working toward some silly endgame of buying the biggest ship. The hauler is an excellent ship. I bought an adder when doing varieties of trading to get an Asp and went back to the hauler for a while. It can qualify for a light explorer for sure.

I'm getting it just for exploration. I plan on staying out for a long time, so I want a good ship for the trip. I only have one ship because I don't want to have to go back somewhere and have assets sitting unused, so my ship is my home in the universe. I have a 5A food replicator and 5a water condenser, and netflix onboard!!
With FTL streaming, or just the regular BluestarRay DVD's that take light year to arrive and when they do they're scratched and don't play right?
Rather than packing a food replicator you might consider those frozen white castle things. They're tasty and quick but you might foul up your life support system afterward, if you know what I mean.
