Terraforming

Yesterday I ran into a very interesting station type - the Terraforming Station.
Cool feature, and a very good market - it literally buys everything with MED+ demands and sells only waste
I'll pop back when I don't know where to pass my haul.

Sure, it's in the Anindari System a station called Stableford Orbital (I wrote it down on the go, hopefully without error).
I guess if their demands are met in some ways the station could turn to be a specific type. Now it tends towards being an industrial one if I remember right.

Another experimental play we could do is to start hauling things there (foods for example) and see if that's affecting the progress or not.
Anyway, drop a few tons of something when you are there!

I came across two Terraforming stations in a system last night... hence i'm on this thread as i had to do a search on here to work out what the hell they are!

So they buy pretty much anything med+ at a decent price?

I've since found loads of them, particularly towards the edges of the map.

Medium Demand on nearly all items. Not actually all that profitable.

The question is what happens to these stations if people actually supply the materials they buy? Do they evolve from terraformed to something else? If so it is automatic after reaching a threshold or does a developer have to click a button?

I guess never going to be part of a decent trade route if they export next to nothing.
