Terrain wont tunnel around a ride when raised up around it

here's the scenario: I place a ride and want to raise land around it. I know what options to check off but it WILL NOT tunnel around it. I've seen a video on it but it refuses to work.

AM I MISSING SOMETHING??

when you say won't tunnel...do you mean the terrain engulfs the ride??? If thats the case sounds like you need to turn on terrain collision to more easily build a tunnel with clearance.

yes, that's exactly what i meant. Never seen a terrain collision option but I will look for it. thanks.
