I've heard some people requesting for this, so I'll be joining the revolution
This is what I think:
1. When this feature is added to the game, you should now be able to house different species of Carnivores together. I'll explain later.
2. Housing alot of Herbivores together in a large enclosure should now become easier. I'll be talking about that later in this thread.
3. The first mechanism that should be part of this feature is "View Territories" mode. In this mode, you will be able to view the Borders of the Territory your Dinosaur/s claimed and the Dinosaur/s that own that Territory.
4. Dinosaurs will only enter other Territories if they wish to join that Territory, or if they do not have any food or water in their Territory.
Here comes the explanation (Please note that what I'm asking for might be too complex to apply to the game or too challenging for a player to manage and might not be scientifically accurate. I'm only writing this to get it out of my head):
5. Two or more Different species will split territories if they want, but only when their Environment requirements will be met once they split the enclosure. Splitting Territories will most likely happen when a group of a certain Species inhabiting that Territory can't handle the Population/Social group and will either go to find another area to live, or if not, the Comfort will just keep going down. In some cases, more than 1 species will share the same Territory only if they can handle each other:
6. Dinosaurs will only take whatever is in their Territory for their requirements. (In some cases, 2 or more different species may share the same Territory as long as their Social/Population needs are met): ex. A herd of Stegosaurus will only count the trees, grassland, wetland, and even Population/Social requirements that are in their Territory.
Carnivore Explanation:
8. Two different Species, but of the same size Carnivores may share an Enclosure if there is enough room to satisfy both their needs.
9. Two Carnivores of the same species can split territories only when there's enough space to satisfy their environment, maybe even Population/Social requirements.
10. The same species may split into two herds/packs if they belong in different Territories, or if their Social group is too high (Herds will only split like that when their Social Group is high enough to the point where both herds/packs will be satisfied once split). This may start "Herd Rivalry" where in two Herds of the Same Species compete to see which herd is better (This is literally "Fighting for Dominance" but with entire herds and packs)
Once again, I'm only writing this to get the idea out of my head. Everything I wrote may be Scientifically inaccurate, or may be too complex to add to the game and maybe too challenging to players once added.
What does the Community think? Hopefully someone likes this idea. But, still... Be Brutally honest on what you think
Sorry if I didn't make something clear... My english writing is a bit off today, and this is a long thread. (Writing long threads often make me forget details)
