"Terrorist" Status

Disclaimer:
I'm not part of a terrorist organisation. Nor do I support any actions by them.
Also, in real life, we do have an issue with terrorism, so this may be in bad taste too.
(But Please, keep reading!)

Anyhoo, back to ED, right now, if a player, (or NPCs for that matter), goes to a system, and then murders every single thing out there, its just murder. And a bounty. Not much else.
(We've established that in 100s of threads, so please don't bring that up. )

What I would like to see is a "Terrorist" status, kinda like a super wanted status, but is only gained by mass murder. (Not pirating, assault, not paying fines etc)
Once you get this status, you can not lose it by death. (It just degrades if you, or disappear for a while- somehow?) .
The result is a (major) faction wide hunt for you.
You're basically on the most wanted list for that major faction.

The result;
Negetives;
-Faction Wide Docking Ban (no sneaking in)!
-KOS order from any ship in the major faction that scans you, plus they will call heavy reinforcements.
-Huge bounty on your head
-instant -100% rep(hostile)with local minor factions alligned to the major one you just attacked.
-major loss in rep across all minor factions alligned with the major one.

Positives;
+enemies of the faction now love you more. (Rep gains!)
+You can still dock at independent/other major factions outposts if they exist in that system. But I may still not be safe. And you'll probably bump in to hostiles still.

Only thing I'm not sure about is how to deal with assassination missions.maybe it just needs to be a high volume in a short time to trigger the status?

What are your thoughts?

Personally I think that particular label leaves a bad taste in light of today's current world events.
That term is usually used to label a use of violence and intimidation in pursuit of political aims.
Good concept but possibly a different label....
Maybe an in game Criminal Intelligence Branch that would assign a number to wanted status....like top 10, top 20, top 1000....or something that would rate the cmdr based on your post above...

Yeah, I did think terrorist was a bad choice, (hence disclaimer. Lol) but I couldn't think of a short word that could replace the "wanted" tag.
Maybe "enemy of the state" or something. Still abit long.

More people have been affected by the negative effects of narcotics than have by terrorism, yet we still trade drugs all over the shop. We also do missions to smuggle weapons to minor factions, resulting in increased lockdown in a system. These missions must be supporting terrorist activities so it is already in the game.

Maybe,
Nefarious
Odious
Degenerate
Abominable
Heinous

*Has to be something that would work to identify that a particular Cmdr isn't very nice and can't play well with others....:)

Now there's some interesting statements not supported by any facts what so ever....

Risque maybe but don't think ED needs shy away from terms (that means the terrorisers won, doesn't it?). It's a game, 99.999999% of people know that and I know for a fact that I already supplied, a number of tons of explosives, for a November 5 CG and I don't think it was for fireworks! (Although, if you get a PM, seriously asking you to get yourself to Syria, might be worth a flag up on that one!).
Like the idea .. with suitably harsh (HARSH) penalties of course! +1

"Public Enemy"

.. Number 911?

Probably just easier to sort out some sort of "threat" or "heat" level. Similar to GTA.
You would still get the "WANTED" tag, see the bounty on your head, but then see a local/major faction heat level.
The higher it is, the more aggressive security become, and start denying docking.
Murder obviously bumps that up the most (maybe make pvp murder bump it up more to discourage noob whacking).
Then assault and not paying fines hardly moves it at all. Because those are mostly accidental.

Eventually, a noob killer, or just a phycho NPC murder, will find it too hard or annoying (constant interdictions) to be in that system anymore.

Death shouldn't remove the tag either, maybe degrade it slightly. But it should also degrade over time anyway.

Bah, rambling, this has been discussed too much already.

Back to work people. Lol
