Former allies the 13th Legion and the Achenar Immortals are locked in a bloody, Imperial civil war in the Immortals' home system of Paras. Approximately one week ago, Immortals General CMDR Judder Man made a statement extolling their close and open alliance with the Smiling Dog Crew. The terrorist group known as SDC has been responsible for hundred of Imperial murders across the Galaxy, as well as the disruption of countless Imperial CG's. The alliance was called into question by 13th Legion Lord Commander Nightshady, saying it constituted treason against the Empire.
CMDR Elenar, King of the Achenar Immortals, asked for an emergency council to be held with the 13th Legion Lord Commander to resolve this issue diplomatically and a council date was set. General Judder Man had other plans however, as he went to the media and made a public statement that the 13th Legion was a weak and washed-up organization with no right or power to question the alliances of the Achenar Immortals. Judder Man declared that a war was on between the two groups, and that he welcomed the 13th Legion to come and face them in Paras. His call was not left unanswered.
Six days ago, Paras was in a Boom state and the Immortals enjoyed a 78% influence on the system. Today, Paras is in Lockdown status and the Immortals are in Retreat status with an influence just about 40%. The system of Paras is in chaos from countless large battles waged throughout the system on a daily basis by 13th Legion forces, and although they have had tremendous success in crushing the Immortals influence in Paras, it hasn't been without high cost.
"We're fighting a five-front war here," said 13th Legion Centurion CMDR Kuyu. "We're battling the Achenar Immortals, their system authority, as well as their allies in SDC, RSM, and the Dark Duo. We've lost several ships, but that won't stop our resolve. Getting in bed with terrorist groups that kill Imperials makes you a traitor to the Empire."
Response in the Galaxy to the Imperial civil war has been mixed. Non-Imperial groups have seen it as an opportunity to hit the Immortals while they are weak. Imperial response is across the board, with many Imperial groups dumbfounded that the Achenar Immortals would be in an open alliance with terrorist groups that routinely kill Imperials. 13th Legion General CMDR BKRambo agrees.
"When you embrace terrorists who kill Imperials, you are not better than they are. These Imperial traitors will come to heel before the might of the Legion and the Empire or they will be destroyed."
