OK, I get a bit board once in awhile when playing. Don't know why, probably because it is a wee bit faster. But when ever my next vector is directly behind the station when I leave. I generally boost three times just to be safe. Do a 180 and though the vector is behind the station. I engage the hyper drive; Its never been an issue.
Today I said to self, why boost three times, two would be sufficient (I think), and even a wee bit faster. So I boosted twice, did a 180 aligned with the vector on the far side of the station and stepped on the gas with all my might. I'm in a Corvette and I swear, the front third of the nose was inside the toast rack when boom, the hyper drive finally kicked in.
That was scary and I'm probably a couple of year's older, but that's how you test a hyper drive.
