Thalmic Labs Myo

I've been trying to get the Myo armband from Thalmic Labs working for the past few weeks - I'd really love to use it to trigger FSD, and a few other ship features that I use less frequently (and aren't time-critical!)

The Myo comes with a utility for mapping certain gestures to mouse or keyboard inputs (and a Lua scripting environment to do more complex things with the input, which is neat).

Unfortunately, while other apps recognise the input from the Myo, Elite: Dangerous does not. Normal mouse, keyboard and joystick keypresses get mapped as expected - but whatever the Myo is doing, E:D don't wanna hear about it.

Has anyone got any insight as to why this might be?

I don't have one of these but did you try vJoy yet?
That program can assign axis and buttons and even combine multiple devices into one.
Might be worth a shot.

I will have one of these coming in the next couple of weeks and am also interested in making it work - particularly with the galaxy map.... In terms of keyboard inputs, having similar problems with the X-Keys X16 I've set up as a comms panel - despite many tweaks etc, can't get the inputs recognised by the game, despite them working ok on plain text input in other applications.

May be something about the way the game interprets keyboard inputs..... Will keep plugging away at it.
Probably also testing an Emotiv Insight headset when they become available as well.
