Thank You Alpha Backers!

As someone that is always on the look-out for cheap new esport shooting games, I just wanted to thank the brave guys that invested in Elite early and have given me Xbox One Elite! I got it today and it plays great for $30 and is good fun so far. I hadn't heard of this game before E3, but reading the forums shows it has a lot of fans already. Cool!

Developing a new AAA title for consoles is expensive, and it's hard to get traction where all sci-fi shooters are the same, but Elite stands a good chance now to break through to a mainstream player base and get popular - all thanks to your initial faith, (and dollars!).

I do see some complaints on the forum, and that happens everywhere, but to be honest you have to remember that Frontier are a public company, and companies aren't in the business of nostalgia or looking backwards. Businesses don't get paid in gratitude, they get paid money from Microsoft, Sony and Steam nowadays. It's a fact of modern games. It's great that PC games are still coming out though and I hope to even play this on a PC one day too.

Is it ok in this forum to set up a clan? I'm interesting in a group that can help with some of the achievements that need group play too.

See you out there pilots!

Welcome aboard CMDR Steelsprings. Glad you are enjoying the game so far. There are alot of complaints on the forum but as you said "that happens everwhere". There are also alot of cool people here that will inform and help ya but there is just alot of dross to sift through. Check around the forum a bit more and you are bound to find folks that have groups. Anyhow... please remember the main objective is not to make the most credits per hour, buy the most expensive ship or try to be the most dangerous there is .....the object is to have fun :)

thank you , there's no need to thank us.
its been fun for the last two years, made some new friends and think its an investment that came trough well.
most alpha backers are classic Elite fans that were very eager to support Elite Dangerous.
besides from that frontier is generous enough to give away any extension to the game to us.
that's thanks enough for me.
looking back I think it was always the plan to release on Xbox , because the first pictures released were with Xbox controllers.
something we never knew.
I wonder if you would have known the Kickstarter would you have bought a pc?
as many of us did at the time.
