I started playing Elite: Dangerous 14 months ago on PS4.
I have invested thousands of hours in a game which personally I still consider the best space sim out there with innumerable options for game play and experience. It's not perfect, but what a great game.

However - this game is living from an incredibly talented and involved community providing honorary support.
People who have developed and are running
People who daily give advice to other players, having investigated and tested the game mechanics, being well respected experts in their area of expertise
Is the base game great? YES.
Would I have played the base game without all of that player created tools and support for thousands of hours? PROBABLY NOT.
You guys and your tools and help and support have become indispensable.
